Cocoa Flower Close-Up

I really had a hard time on laying pale washes on the petals. I am just happy to see that my patience and adventurism on trying to use the "kneaded eraser" as a masking gum resulted into a cleaner background. It's no longer muddy, but the only problem I can see is that I could've made the colors of the background even richer so that it would portray an effective counterchange that would direct the eye towards the pale-colored flower. more and more practice is needed I believe. (laughs)

Dominick - Thank you for visiting my blog, and I'm so happy you like my work. You do flowers really well. That's a subject that I have a hard time doing close-ups of. You did a nice job on both of these. I'll be back to visit again to see what else you've posted.
