Cocoa Flower Close-Up

I really had a hard time on laying pale washes on the petals. I am just happy to see that my patience and adventurism on trying to use the "kneaded eraser" as a masking gum resulted into a cleaner background. It's no longer muddy, but the only problem I can see is that I could've made the colors of the background even richer so that it would portray an effective counterchange that would direct the eye towards the pale-colored flower. more and more practice is needed I believe. Tiger Lily Practice

I just cant paint a good background, but thank god I think a painted a good subject. This picture of a Tiger Lily caught my eyes and I was fascinated by its beauty. So I translated it into a not-so-beautiful but an eye-catching watercolor painting. what do you guys think? feel free to leave your comments. I'd be most grateful to hear them from you. God Bless

A try for a BIG shot!

The birds of the paradise flower. This is the first time that I tried to venture into another style of watercolor painting. I was just so inspired and influenced to try to somehow go up one notch in terms of detail-rendering. Maybe I was just too lazy to make one before but now I started the first step of my very long journey to watercolor.

Special Thanks to Miss Jane Freeman.

The art of simplicity

I painted this off-sized work by luck!! I never expected that this would

make an impact to my eyes. The paper I used was just an excess from the paper I used when I joined a painting competition. I hope you'll like it the way my friends and I do. Thanks
